Enable someone to slide or easily be slid into a new position, from one surface to another, eliminating the need for heavy lifting.
Reduce care giver injuries.
Reduce shear, skin tear and discomfort for patients, the aged, and people with a disability.
Velvet cover: use only on a fabric surface which it can grip to
Non Slip cover: essential on slippery surfaces
One Way Slide tubes or open single layer pads are not required to be secured or attached to a chair surface. The client sits on top of the One Way Slide and their bodyweight helps to keep the transfer slide in position.
Long single layer models feature a singe handle sewn onto one end. They can be folded with the handle placed through the back of an open back chair. The handle enables an attendant/carer to place their feet into the handle and use their leg muscles to push down to easily position the client at the back of the chair.
Sliding Action: One sideway direction only. On each model, there is a label on the outer surface with arrows indicating the direction of movement. The One Way Slide should be positioned on top of a seat with the arrows pointing to the rear of the chair.
Method of Movement: Client initiates movement on most of the One Way Slide models. On the Long Single Layer model, the carer/attendant initiates the movement as indicated by the handle that is sewn onto the slide for the carer/attendant to step through on.
